Le Cinèma et les mots


From 810pm on the dates listed on the calendar below, we will discover a cult French film, while learning more about the film director, along with an analyzation of language, vocabulary, expressions, etc. 

The two-hour evening event will be divided into two parts:


Presentation of the French film director, actor, and screenwriter and film critic.
Visualization of certain passages of the film and analysis of the language.

Learning, vocabulary, expressions around cinema and the film in particular, followed by the entire film in French with English subtitles.

Gastronomie Jardinière


The next events are coming in the Fall of 2017.

This event is a French language lesson, cooking class, and lunch with L'enfant Terrible's Matthew Kopfler and French language instructor Manon Bellet, in collaboration with Hollygrove Market and Farm.

The meal will begin with a walk through of the garden, examining ingredients that will be used in the lunch. During the process of exploring the garden, it will give you a deeper connection to the vegetables, and can help a cook appreciate their ingredients a bit more.

French instructor Manon Bellet, from the Lyon region of France, will translate everything to French. There will be a recipe and language lesson handout made available. French vocabulary around cooking, eating, and drinking will be discussed during this fun and participatory event.

Du Jardin à L’assiete




Specifically designed for children, grades K-5!

A taste of the French language lesson with French instructor Manon Bellet, from the Lyon region of France and learning how to cook a delicious omellete with L'enfant Terrible's Matthew Kopfler. Du Jardin à L'assiette is a French language lesson, cooking class, garden talk, and lunch in collaboration with Hollygrove Market and Farm.


The meal will begin with a walk through the garden to examine ingredients which will be used in the lunch, as well as the chickens’ life on the farm. Walking through the garden will give the kids a connection to vegetables and life of a Garden.

Manon Bellet will translate everything to French. There will be recipe and language lesson handouts and different educational tools around cooking, eating, and drinking. All will be discussed and used during this fun and participatory event.

Terms and Conditions

Registration & Payment Please register by contacting me via email. As soon as you have registered, I will confirm the registration by email. In the case that a course is fully booked, I will try to find an alternative for you.

All courses must be reserved with a subscription for 4 weeks for individual lessons or 3 months for group classes. Fees must be paid before the beginning of each class. Please submit your payment via Venmo or Paypal. Cash or check is also accepted.
Cancellation PolicyGenerally, fees will not be refunded and no lessons can be postponed. If a student does not appear for his/her private lesson and has not cancelled 24 hours in advance, the lesson is considered as having been taken.
